Fellow Flickrite John Cornicello snapped this awesome shot of me in action at last weekend’s Trash The Dress meetup. I didn’t do a really good job of remaining hidden.

soak up the sun

On Saturday, a bunch of Seattle Flickrites journeyed up north to Sedro-Woolley to do a Trash The Dress shoot at Northern State Hospital. The weather was gorgeous. The location was wide open with no one there to bother us. And we had a ton of dresses for the models to wear.

Here are a few of my faves from the day:

Check out a few more shots in my Flickr photostream and the Seattle Flickr Meetup group.

video on flickr

As of Tuesday night, Flickr now supports video. There are people who already having fun with it, like my buddy Ras, and then there are the people are poo-poo-ing the presence of anything that is not still photography. Personally, I think it’s going to be fun. With the large and strong community that is already established on Flickr, creating and sharing videos is going to be as entertaining as sharing photos. In fact, because the videos are limited to 90 seconds, we have to be very creative in how much content we throw into the video. I, for one, am going to enjoy adding more video to my photostream. I might even dump in some animations from time to time.

chase and david write about seattle strobists

Chase Jarvis and David Hobby have both posted their full write-ups on last Sunday’s Seattle Flickr/Strobist Hangar shoot. Chase posted his video and some good background information on how this shoot came about. David talked about his great experience at his very first Seattle Flickr Meetup. And the Seattle Flickrites get some major world-wide exposure (again). Everyone is jealous of us. :)
