goggles, flapjacks, and conversation

I’ve been sort of laying low with the photography for the past week or so mostly due to being worn out and tired from work. I also haven’t been terribly inspired nor motivated to shoot much beyond my daily 365 Days photos. I did, however, manage to snap a few fun photos from this past weekend.

First up, I got some cool goggles:

Next, Margaret and I made flapjacks and sausage for breakfast:

Finally, Alex tries to have a conversation with Margaret:

My fun photos come in spurts. Hopefully, I’ll have a few more soon.

cheap coffee

For some reason, I really like the cheap coffee at Cyclops. It’s not the best coffee on the planet, and they serve you so little at a time that it gets cold quickly, but I seem to have no problems drinking a lot of it whenever I go there for brunch. Maybe it’s because there are free refills. Maybe it’s because I’m usually still waking up when I go there on Sunday morning/afternoon. Or, maybe it’s because cheap coffee is the best way to wash down a big, hearty breakfast consisting of a 2-ton omelette, a loaf of toast, and a sack of potatoes. Yeah, that’s probably it.

cupcakes are for nom-ing

NOM!

Rebecca made me some cupcakes to show me how much better homemade cakes were compared to store-bought. The stash consisted of carrot cake with creamcheese frosting and s’mores with marshmallow topping. These are clearly superior to anything you can buy.

Not long after Rebecca dropped them off at my apartment, I took advantage of the nice natural light in my living room to get a few snaps of the cupcakes before I devoured them.

It was so hard to photograph them. I could smell the cupcakey goodness and just wanted to NOM NOM NOM!

thursday donut

thursday donut

I woke up feeling sort of blah this morning and knew that only a donut would make me feel better. So far, it’s working.
