Holy cow! It’s been 2 weeks since I last posted here. That means either that I’m uninspired to write anything or that I’m so busy that I don’t have the time/energy to write anything. It’s probably a little bit of both right now. So, I’m taking a quick moment to jot down a few things before a Friday afternoon meeting at work.
The entire month of June has been busy-busy thus far. First there was the trip to Orcas Island. Then we had a bit of crunch time at work. Then there was the Fremont Solstice Parade/Seattle Flickr Meetup. Then I went to Portland for a combination Father’s Day/early birthday dinner. Then I worked a few more late nights at work. And then I had a mini-Strobist lesson with my buddy Jeremy, which is where the photo above came from. And, between all of that, I’ve been learning both Aperture and Lightroom and trying to figure out which app I’m going to end up buying (I’ll be writing more about that at a later date).
There are at least three more big events left for this month. Tomorrow, I’m heading up to Chuckanut Drive and Bellingham with some Flickrites for a photography day-trip. I might go shoot the Pride Festival on Sunday. Thursday is the June Brews and Views Meetup at the Garage. And next Saturday, June 30, is my birthday, and I’m heading up to Victoria, B.C., with Benn and Brittney to hang out with some friends for Canada Day.
I think I’m going to need a lot more coffee if I’m going to keep up this pace all summer. And definitely more drive space for the insane number of photos I shoot each week. And more time to process all those photos. Whew!!!
