Brittney, Mark, and Paula were kind enough to volunteer for a jumping photo shoot I had to do over the weekend. I got a nice variety of jumps from all of them, and I think my client is going to be very happy with the results. Also, I think we provided some fun entertainment for the other people at the park.

Believe it or not, there is now a Flickr group called “Be Like Poo“, as in “be like poopoorama”. After seeing some of my jump shots for 365 Days, Rob started doing some of his own and tagged one of his photos with “be like poo”. The idea caught on, and within a few days Brittney created the group. And now, there’s a group dedicated to being like, well, me. It’s scary but fun. :)
For the first time in over a decade, I’m once again the proud owner of a bike. Last Friday I picked up a Scott Sportster P4 from Sammamish Valley Cycle in Redmond. It set me back about $500, but it’ll be nice to go on bike rides on nice days. I spent a good chunk of this past weekend riding around Bellevue and getting used to being on a bike again. It felt great cruising around and getting fresh air, but my legs and butt are killing me now. Guess I need to ride more and build up those bike-riding muscles.
To go along with my new bike, I also got a Tamrac Adventure 7 photo backback to carry camera gear on rides. I can fit my D70 with lens attached, 3 additional lenses, and my SB-600 flash in the lower compartment. The upper compartment has a mesh pocket and room for a bunch more stuff. The front pocket has nifty dividers and pockets for memory cards, batteries, and other small items. And the whole thing is only about twice as tall as my Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home. So far I’m loving it.
Now that I have both a new bike and new bag, I’m all set for summer photo-rides. It’s going to be fun!
