Since the weather was crappy and I was still recovering from my cold, I decided to work on printing, framing, and hanging some photos. I already had six images framed and hung those up first. For some reason, my neighbors didn’t like me hammering on the wall at 6 PM, so I only got half done on Saturday and finished the rest on Sunday afternoon. I eyeballed everything, so things aren’t too perfect, but they look pretty good to me. I might mess with the arrangement a bit later.
I also printed up three of my recent Holga photos and framed those up. I really like how the colors worked with the black frames. Very bold and simple. I think those will look great on my walls. I wish I had more of those square black frames, but I cleaned out Aaron Brothers last time I was there. Hopefully they’ll get another shipment soon.
My final project this weekend was the beginnings of a photo album for my ever-growing stack of Polaroids. I picked up the album and some extra pages at Aaron Brothers on Sunday afternoon (they love me there now) and started to plan out how I’m going to mount the photos in the book. I’m thinking I’m going to go in chronological order and mount Polaroids as I shoot them. It should be a nice on-going project.

Happy Chinese New Year!
OK, so I’m a little late posting this here. Better late than never. ;)
I’m generally not a huge fan of this day, at least, not in recent years. There’s almost always something happening to ruin my mood. A couple of years ago, my ex moved back to Taiwan the week before Valentine’s Day. The year before that, we had a huge arguement on Valentine’s Day that carried over for a few days after. The year before that, I broke up with my previous girlfriend.
Some years aren’t too bad though. Last year, I did dinner and movies with some buddies who were in similar anti-Valentine’s day moods. A few years ago, when I was still living in Eugene, I went to a big party, had a few drinks, then went dancing with 6 very attractive women. That was a fun night. ;)
This year I’m planning on having a relatively uneventful and relaxing day. Maybe I’ll call up some friends and get some food. Maybe I’ll just chill at home with some beers and watch Lost. Forecast calls for rain tonight, so I’m definitely not going out and doing night photography.
So, in honor of Valentine’s Day, this one goes out all the bitter, angry, and generally pissed off singles out there on this most unholy of holidays. I feel your pain. Go drown your sorrows in some beer, wine, or whatever your poison is.
Happy Valentine’s Day! :)

We had a Wii Bowling tournament at work on Friday. We moved one of the Wii’s to the lunch room and hooked it up to a big, phat 52″ plasma TV. Virtual bowling never felt so good. Anyway, I won my first round match but lost in the 2nd round. I still had a blast, because playing games on the Wii is wicked fun. Plus, I got to see my Mii in action. :)
