why, yes, that is real film

why, yes, that is real film

I picked up a few rolls of Fuji Superia Xtra film last night for my Canon AE-1. Going to try some good ol’ analog shooting for a bit and take a break from my heavy D70. Manual focusing, manual setting of aperture and shutter speed, and the 50mm prime lens will force me to think more carefully about the lighting and composition of the image. Should be fun. :)

The colors of fall are upon us. Just a small detail of the changing colors in front of my apartment.

Fun Sheena Photo

upon closer inspection, there is nothing of interest

Nothing to write about today, so I figured that I would post a cute pic of Sheena. I mis-focused the shot, because I was lying on my side, but it still turned out kind of neat.

Lazy Day

a serene trail amidst the hustle and bustle of downtown

After lunch at The Cheesecake Factory, Mom and Peter drove back to Gresham. I spent the rest of the afternoon running some errands and lazying about in downtown Bellevue. I didn’t get very far beyond Downtown Park near Bellevue Square. It’s a pretty nice park with a trail that loops a 1/2 mile around a wide open grass area and plenty of benches along the trail to sit and watch people.

i wonder if he'll notice me

Although I had my camera with me, I didn’t take many pictures. It was quite late in the day, and the lighting was a bit too harsh and contrasty. The few photos that did make the cut are available in my Flickr photostream.
