Yesterday, Mei finally made it back from Taiwan. I missed having her around for Christmas, but I’m happy that she’s home now. Since her flight arrived in the middle of the afternoon, I decided to take the day off from the office and work from home instead.
It was actually quite odd doing Flight Sim stuff on my home machine. My home copy of Max is configured slightly differently than what I have at work, so it took me a little longer to get stuff done. I still managed to get quite a bit done though. Today should be a pretty easy day as I finish the interior for yet another airplane.
Tomorrow, I definitely won’t be in the office. It’s New Year’s Eve, and Mei is heading out (again) on New Year’s morning to visit some friends in Alabama. She’ll be gone for only a week, but I still want to spend some time with her before she flies off again.
After Mei flies off, I’ll be heading out to Ballard for a New Year’s Day Numb-Butt-a-thon. Translation: a bunch of geeks are getting together to watch all of the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition DVDs in one day. As fun and entertaining as that will be, I’m definitely bringing a laptop or 2 with me to help me get through the long day.
