How To Ask Questions The Smart Way

Here’s a great article written by Eric Raymond on how to properly ask questions in hacker communities. Although he talks specifically about hacker forums, the information in this article applies to pretty much any technically-oriented community, including game development and 3D forums. If you frequent game dev IRC channels, 3D art forums, or anything along those lines, this is a good read.

MonkeyZombie Bashes Into Level 5

After a very fun but exhausting Thanksgiving with the family, I spent most of Friday evening zoning out in front of the TV with Halo 2. Something must have clicked tonight, because I managed to do fairly well in the majority of the Team Skirmish matches and jumped from Level 3 to Level 5.

Taking a Break

As Thanksgiving approaches and I try to finish up some stuff at work before taking a long weekend, blog postings will be sparse. I’ll be back on schedule with my (mostly) daily updates next week.

I Got Owned

After a very disappointing end to Halo 2’s single-player campaign, I decided to try to find some redeeming quality in the game by jumping into a few multiplayer matches. My first jaunt into the world of Xbox Live last weekend was a fun one, but it was only a training level. I figured it was time to get into some more serious matches.
